Rockstar Games has added the term “Charlie Kirk” to the profanity filter in GTA Online after a user created a mission based on the real-life shooting.
After the A Safehouse in the Hills GTA Online update in late 2025, a player took advantage of the newly introduced Mission Creator to make a mission based on a well-known real-life shooting, prompting Rockstar Games to add the term “Charlie Kirk” to the game’s profanity filter, as discovered via a datamine and reported by GTASixInfo on Twitter/X.
The GTA Online Mission Creator allows players to build and share their own original missions. The tool supports multiple objectives, branching outcomes, stealth mechanics, and custom dialogue, using a wide range of assets such as characters, vehicles, and environments. It can be accessed from the Pause Menu in the Online section.
Players can get started by modifying sample missions, and all published content is required to be in compliance with Rockstar Games’ community guidelines. However, it looks like the aforementioned user-created mission, titled “We Are Charlie Kirk”, remains within the company’s community guidelines, as it is still live and available for other player to play.
Besides the Mission Creator, the new GTA Online update brought a major content expansion focused on luxury living and quality-of-life improvements. Players can now purchase fully customizable mansions through Prix Luxury Real Estate, each offering extensive amenities, integrated business systems, and a versatile AI Assistant with multiple personality options. Alongside the new properties, the update adds five new missions, fresh vehicles across multiple categories, and system upgrades that enhance progression, improve navigation, and expand modding capabilities. It also delivers a wide set of stability, content, networking, and fixes across all supported platforms.
Grand Theft Auto V was originally released on September 17, 2013, and has since been enhanced across multiple platforms. Title Update 1.72 is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
