Leaked source code for Rockstar Games’ open-world action-adventure game, GTA V, appears to have revealed the protagonist of the now canceled Agent.
GTAForums member XanaBax (via videotech on Twitter/X) has shared their findings from a datamine of the leaked GTA V source code, revealing what appears to be the protagonist of Agent. They conducted a deep dive into the uncovered character model, learning that it matches the character model seen in the 2011 leaked screenshots from the now canceled game. Additionally, it was found that the main hierarchy node of the character model is named “player.”
Rockstar Games’ Canceled Agent Protagonist Leaked Character Model
The aforementioned leaked character model of the protagonist of Rockstar Games canceled Agent can be seen below.

According to the dataminer, the head textures of the alleged Agent protagonist and GTA IV protagonist Niko Bellic can be swapped with each other, as seen in the second and third images. They further mentioned that the same Agent character model with different textures applied can be seen on some images from a former environment artist’s portfolio from 2011.
The source stated that some parts of the alleged Agent protagonist’s character model are taken from edited versions of Niko. As per them, the head has more or less the same UV map, excluding the hairline. The boots are said to be default Niko boots and the pants are edited versions of his cargo pants, with the UVs being slightly different.
The alleged Agent protagonist’s character model was found by the dataminer in a folder titled “Jimmy”, which is rumored to be the canceled game’s codename. They mentioned that the model hasn’t appeared in any GTA game to date.
In November, 2023, Obbe Vermeij, former Rockstar Games technical director, shared a blog post in which he revealed details regarding Agent and why it ultimately got canceled. More details here.
