Rockstar Games upcoming open-world action-adventure game, GTA VI, is set to deliver the series’ biggest soundtrack and the most diverse radio stations yet.
According to Rockstar Games, GTA VI will feature the “biggest and widest-ranging selection” of in-game radio stations in the Grand Theft Auto series, with a soundtrack featuring genres like classic rock, Latin music, country, African music, metal, pop, and Southern rap and hip-hop. The developer has detailed six of the radio stations that will be available across Leonida, giving fans an early look at the game’s musical variety.
Cocoteo FM will focus on modern Latin music, with hosts El Martillo and La Gata playing everything from bachata and merengue to dembow and reggaeton. Meanwhile, Back Country Radio will bring renegade country music to the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, and surrounding areas, with MW and Delta Dawne behind the station.
For fans of African music, AfroBank FM will feature Burna and Palmsy, with its lineup covering 20th-century classics, undiscovered gems, amapiano, 3-step, and other contemporary sounds.
Rock music will also have a presence through The Chamber 106.6, where DJ Kerry and DJ Tom will deliver classic metal from the 1980s and beyond. The station is described as a reflection of Leonida’s deep metal roots.
Flash FM, a returning Vice City institution, will focus on pop music, with Robyn and Alex serving as hosts. Lastly, Dirty South Classics, hosted by Trick and Trina, will play regional rap and hip-hop classics.
Outside of traditional radio, GTA VI will introduce on-demand podcasts for Jason and Lucia. Players will be able to listen to radio stations and podcasts both in vehicles and on foot using newly introduced headphones and earbuds connected to their smartphones.
Rockstar Games will share further information soon, including details on the game‘s dynamic score and additional singles from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which will feature 34 original tracks.
