In its accompanied message, the development team has stated that, in order to strengthen its project development capabilities, the studio is recruiting experienced game developers for the aforementioned positions. The team is looking for enthusiastic people who want to participate in the development of Kirby games, and who want to create interesting games with great attention to detail.

While hardly anything is known about the next Kirby game at this point in time, there is recurring mention of the game featuring “gimmicks” that correspond to different situations and levels. The Kirby series is known for having several gimmicks as part of its gameplay, so this isn’t necessarily something new. The character can adopt properties of environmental props and objects that it absorbs into itself, as recently seen in Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

The aforementioned Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a 2022 platformer developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It marks the thirteenth mainline installment in the Kirby series and the first entry in the series to adopt full 3D gameplay, excluding spin-offs. Players guide Kirby through the Forgotten Land, also known as the New World, on a mission to rescue kidnapped Waddle Dees from the Beast Pack. To achieve this goal, Kirby utilizes various copy abilities to combat enemies and advance through each stage. Kirby’s abilities include jumping, sliding, inhaling enemies and objects, and utilizing copy abilities gained by swallowing specific items.
