Halo: Campaign Evolved has received an MA 15+ classification in Australia, placing it above recent mainline entries in the series in terms of rating.

According to the classification details, the game carries “Strong themes and violence, online interactivity and chat” as part of its consumer advice. The MA 15+ rating indicates that the title is considered suitable for players aged 15 and older, with younger audiences requiring adult supervision. By comparison, Halo Infinite and Halo 5: Guardians were both rated one tier lower.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is positioned as a ground-up remake of the original 2001 title, built using Unreal Engine 5. Developed by Halo Studios, the project was announced during the 2025 Halo World Championships and is scheduled for release in 2026. Recent reports suggest the game is content complete and entering the final stages of production.

The remake introduces several additions, including three new prequel missions, updated cinematics, and an expanded selection of weapons drawn from later entries in the franchise. It will also support four-player online co-op with full cross-platform functionality.

The title is set to launch simultaneously on Xbox Series X/S, PC via Steam and the Windows Store, and PlayStation 5, marking a notable multi-platform release for the franchise. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
