Halo Reportedly Coming To PlayStation Soon, No Switch 2 Version Planned Yet

The Halo series is headed over to PlayStation consoles in the near future, while a Nintendo Switch 2 version is not yet planned, according to a new rumor.

An alleged data mine of Xbox API has revealed that a new Halo game is coming soon to PlayStation consoles. The source also mentioned that, as of now, there’s no sign of a version for the Nintendo Switch 2.

According to the leaker, the title ID of the aforementioned Halo game now exists on the RETAIL API, though no Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) is available. They also shared that its title ID is different from those of both Halo Infinite and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and that it’s currently just numbers, suggestion that it’s possibly the next entry in the Halo series.

The source further clarified that it’s hard for them to say how soon we’ll get to hear about this Halo title. As per them, an existing multiplayer title such as Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 5, or Grounded etc., would generally get PlayStation or Nintendo Switch compatibility added to the RETAIL API a few weeks before their official announcement. This time, however, it appears to be a new game with no public metadata available.

Earlier this year, insider Nate the Hate had mentioned hearing about Halo: The Master Chief Collection being set to receive PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 ports. However, this is not in line with the new leak.
