Arrowhead Game Studios has rolled out a new update for Helldivers 2, addressing multiple crash issues, weapon inconsistencies, and miscellaneous gameplay bugs. Update 01.002.201 primarily focuses on improving game stability, fixing crashes triggered by particle effects, scoped weapon aiming, and bot convoy missions. Additionally, an issue that caused crashes when receiving Microsoft Teams messages while playing has been resolved. Various fixes for weapons and stratagems have also been implemented, including adjustments to energy-based weapons, projectile drag for grenade launchers, and shrapnel trajectory behavior.

The update also includes balance changes for the LAS-58 Talon, AR-23C Liberator Concussive, and SG-225 Breaker. The Talon has received multiple bug fixes, including proper ammo state display and a firing delay removal. Meanwhile, the Liberator Concussive and Breaker have had their previous unintended modifications reverted. Other gameplay refinements include fixing issues with gas weapons inverting movement inputs, resolving floating emote exploits, and restoring the proper hoverpack behavior. Social and multiplayer features have also been improved, with the Account ID now correctly displaying in the options tab.
