Hello Kitty Island Adventure, the life simulation title developed by Sanrio and Sunblink, is now available on the Nintendo Switch 2. The release marks the newest platform expansion for the game, which first debuted on Apple Arcade before reaching additional systems. The Switch 2 version became available on November 14, 2025, with several editions offered for both new players and those upgrading from the original Switch release.
According to the announcement, Hello Kitty Island Adventure is available in a Standard Edition priced at $39.99 and an Upgrade Edition priced at $9.99 for owners of the earlier Switch version. A Deluxe Upgrade, which adds cosmetic items, crafting materials, and a selection of legacy content from past seasonal events, is offered at $19.99. The developers note that this upgrade contains more than 300 in-game items.
The game’s expansion also includes new paid content. The Wheatflour Wonderland DLC, priced at $14.99, introduces a newly added region described as the largest area added since launch. It also features new recipes, crafting options, characters, and exploration activities. Official store listings indicate that the Switch 2 version offers enhanced resolution, higher frame rates, and smoother visuals, along with mouse support via the Joy-Con 2.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure focuses on exploration, crafting, and character interaction. Players create a custom avatar and complete quests alongside familiar Sanrio characters, with activities ranging from cooking and furniture placement to platforming and puzzle solving. Multiplayer features support cooperative tasks and collaborative building.
A Gift Box Edition is also available for $59.99, containing the Deluxe Edition content along with physical collectibles, including character cards, a poster, and a themed guidebook.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, earlier Nintendo Switch models, PC through Steam, and Apple Arcade. Additional updates are planned, though the developers have not specified their content or release schedule.
