Hideki Kamiya Is Interested In Directing A New Dino Crisis Game

Legendary game designer Hideki Kamiya has expressed interest in directing a new game in Capcom’s Dino Crisis series.

During an interview with MinnMax’s Ben Hanson, Hideki Kamiya was asked whether he ever wanted to direct a Dino Crisis game. In response, he said that he would love to give it a shot. As for whether it will actually happen, however, depends entirely on Capcom. Given his close association with the company nowadays, we wouldn’t rule out the possibility.

Elsewhere during the interview, Kamiya was asked about how he would envision a Viewtiful Joe 3. He said that he has an ideas in his mind regarding such a possibility.  He also confirmed that he had conceived a casual gamer-focused title for the Wii before switching over to Bayonetta, and that he may get to continue work on it and release it for the Nintendo Switch 2 at some point.

Towards the end of last year, Clovers head and chief game designer Hideki Kamiya shared that he had launched the new game development studio together with some trusted colleagues. He mentioned that he left Platinum Games to search for a place where he could work on games according to his creative beliefs. With the help of encouraging colleagues who share the same beliefs, he was able to find that place at Clovers, where he is currently working on the Okami sequel as director.

According to Kamiya, the logo for Clovers is based on the image of a four-leaf clover. Each leaf is made of the letter “C” , and all four of them come together to form a clover. He described the studio as a group that values ​​the four Cs, in keeping with its logo . He referred to his colleagues as “C” LOVERS. As per the studio head, the four Cs stand for ‘Challenge’, ‘Creativity’, ‘Craftsmanship’, and ‘Clovers Spirit’.
