Team Cherry has released Hollow Knight on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, delivering upgraded versions of the acclaimed action-platformer with improved performance and visual enhancements.
The new releases feature higher frame rates, increased resolutions, and additional visual effects compared to previous console versions. Players who already own Hollow Knight on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One can upgrade to the new versions at no additional cost.
Alongside the launch on new hardware, Team Cherry has rolled out an update across all existing platforms. The patch introduces a range of refinements and technical improvements, including full 21:9 and 16:10 aspect ratio support for PC players. The developer also confirmed that multiple under-the-hood enhancements originally developed for Hollow Knight: Silksong have now been integrated into the original game.
No new content was announced as part of this update, but Team Cherry says the changes are aimed at improving overall performance, stability, and presentation across all platforms.
Hollow Knight is available now on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
