Hollow Knight: Silksong Patch 4 Public Beta Adds New Simplified Chinese Translation

by Ali Haider

Team Cherry has released Patch 4 (Version 1.0.28954) for Hollow Knight: Silksong on the public beta branch, marking a major step toward expanding accessibility and refining the overall player experience. The highlight of this update is the new Simplified Chinese translation, now available for public testing. This version represents an early implementation, with the developers actively encouraging feedback on clarity, phrasing, and translation accuracy through their official feedback form. While the translation remains in progress and may exhibit minor display issues, its inclusion reflects Team Cherry’s continued commitment to improving localization for a global audience.

Alongside the translation update, the patch introduces a series of gameplay and technical improvements, including a switch to Unity’s Input System for better controller compatibility and enhanced rumble support. Several in-game issues have also been addressed, such as equipment and item bugs involving the Queen’s Egg, Druid’s Eyes, and Multibinder. As this is a public beta build, more refinements and fixes are expected before the patch is finalized and rolled out to all players.
