How To Obtain Grass Seeds Quickly In Grounded 2

by Muhammad Ali Bari

Grass Seeds are an essential resource in Xbox Game Studios and Obsidian Entertainment’s survival action-adventure game, Grounded 2. Here’s how you can get them quickly.

While you might assume you can dig up grass to get Grass Seeds in Grounded 2, that’s not quite how it works. Instead, the process involves identifying specific grass plants that produce seeds and harvesting them correctly. Doing it efficiently requires a number of steps.

1. Look for Seed-Bearing Grass

The first step is to locate grass plants that have small, pellet-like nodes on their stalks, often referred to as grass flowers. Unlike normal grass, these stalks stand out because of the seed clusters attached to them. Scan the area carefully and be sure to look upward, as these seed-bearing stalks are usually elevated and easy to miss if you only search at ground level.

2. Chop the Correct Stalks

Once you spot a grass stalk with seeds, equip your axe and start chopping it down. When the plant falls, the seeds will drop along with it. Keep an eye out during this process, since some seeds may appear to only fall as part of the animation and particle effects. The real seeds are larger and more distinct compared to the tiny ones that scatter when chopping.

3. Collect Seeds Quickly Before They Disappear

When the stalk hits the ground, you should see one or two actual grass seeds drop. Sometimes more might fall, but it’s usually limited. Be careful of where they land as seeds can sometimes roll away or even glitch out and vanish. Move around the fallen stalk to ensure you grab all available seeds before they disappear.

4. Repeat Step 1-3 For More Grass Seeds

Not every grass flower will drop seeds, so you may need to chop down multiple stalks to gather enough. Explore the area thoroughly and repeat the process until you have the quantity required for crafting.

Grounded 2 is available in Early Access for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
