Resident Evil Village is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It was released on May 7, 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A version for Nintendo Switch 2 is also planned for sometime later this month in February, 2026. The story follows Ethan Winters as he ventures into an eerie, isolated village in search of his abducted daughter, confronting mutated enemies along the way. While the game retains the series’ core survival horror mechanics, such as item scavenging and careful resource management, it leans more heavily into action than its predecessor, with higher enemy counts and greater focus on combat.
