Nintendo and Koei Tecmo have released Version 1.0.1 for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, arriving just ahead of the game’s official launch on the Nintendo Switch 2. This first post-launch update focuses primarily on bug fixes to improve gameplay stability and progression reliability, resolving several critical issues reported during early play sessions. Among the most significant fixes are those addressing game-stopping bugs tied to Korok discoveries in Split-Screen mode, animation-related lockups during the “Temporal Counter” move, and battle initialization errors tied to GameShare disconnections.
In addition to these fixes, the update introduces a convenient new gameplay feature—a map shortcut function that allows players to instantly access Aside Quests using the Y button from the map screen. This quality-of-life improvement streamlines navigation and quest management, helping players stay focused on large-scale battles rather than excessive menu scrolling.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is a large-scale hack-and-slash action title that merges the legendary lore of The Legend of Zelda series with the strategic combat design of Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors franchise. Serving as a canonical prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the game explores the events of the ancient Imprisoning War, following Princess Zelda as she is transported to the distant past to unite the original sages against the Demon King, Ganondorf.
Developed by Omega Force and published by Nintendo, the game launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 on November 6, 2025.
