Hytale January 13 Hotfix Improves Stability and Connectivity

The January 13, 2026, hotfix for Hytale addresses the most critical issues reported by players following the game’s early access launch. The update prioritizes connectivity reliability, crash fixes, and overall stability to improve moment-to-moment playability.

In addition to client-side fixes, the hotfix introduces launcher improvements and backend service updates aimed at reducing authentication problems and improving global patch delivery. Further fixes for lower-priority issues are currently in development and will arrive in future updates.

Patch Notes

Connectivity

  • Added a message displayed after server boot when authentication is required
  • Updated the client to automatically switch to offline mode when a session becomes invalid

Stability

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when selecting certain hairstyles followed by eyebrows during character creation
  • Fixed a crash when taking screenshots on systems with non-English folder names
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players in Norway from launching the game
  • Fixed a crash related to using buckets
    • Note that affected workbenches must be destroyed and placed again to resolve related issues
  • Prevented the left mouse button from being bound to certain actions
  • Applied general stability improvements across the client

Launcher

  • Added a warning to notify players when their system time is out of date, resolving specific authentication issues
  • Fixed a sporadic authentication issue occurring during login

Services

  • Patched a vulnerability that allowed visual-only username spoofing
  • Improved global caching of game patches
  • Improved the email sending service to support higher volumes

This hotfix was released on January 13, 2026. Hytale is currently available in early access on PC through its standalone launcher.
