Insider Hints At 3 Mysterious ‘7’ Games For The Next Nintendo Direct

by Muhammad Ali Bari

Insider and content creator SwitchForce has dropped a mysterious hint regarding the next Nintendo Direct, teasing fans with 3 games tied to the number ‘7’.

In his latest video, insider and content creator SwitchForce talked about the upcoming presentation, which is allegedly set to happen on Friday, September 12, 2025. According to him, the Nintendo Direct will feature a number of exciting announcements, release dates, and fresh reveals, including 3 games linked to the number ‘7’. While its meaning is unclear, the slot-machine reference suggests that we may receive the jackpot equivalent of game announcements. It’s also worth remembering that the presentation will allegedly fall just one day before Mario’s 40th anniversary, making a Mario-focused segment essential.

Elsewhere in the video, witchForce talked about Star Wars Outlaws being a surprisingly strong port that demonstrates the Nintendo Switch 2’s capabilities. He mentioned that game key cards, which were criticized by fans as a poor substitute for physical cartridges, are now being defended by developers for technical reasons. Rob Banton, audio architect for Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine, explained that Switch 2 cartridges simply couldn’t support the streaming speeds required for the open-world design of Star Wars Outlaws. Instead, the game key card allowed for smoother performance.

While physical collectors remain wary, the reality is that better performance may sometimes come at the cost of traditional cartridges. As SwitchForce pointed out, this could mean more third-party games relying on key cards in the future, especially if developers continue porting from PC, PS5, and Xbox.

With the Nintendo Direct potentially less than a week away, the insider’s claim regarding a “777 jackpot” situation suggest the possibility of first-party titles relevant to the number ‘7’ or even third-party ports of titles with the number in their names, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth or Ace Attorney 7. SwitchForce describes the next Nintendo Direct presentation as a “monumental” showcase.
