Insomniac Games has clarified why pre-orders for Marvel’s Wolverine are not yet available, indicating that more of the game will be shown before opening early purchases.
Responding to a fan on X who asked about pre-orders, the studio stated, “We want to show you more of the game first.” The response suggests that Insomniac intends to provide a more detailed look at gameplay or features before committing to a pre-order rollout.
In a separate exchange regarding the timing of new information, the developer reaffirmed its earlier window. When asked about updates tied to the start of spring, Insomniac replied, “During Spring 2026, yes.” This places the anticipated reveal sometime within the current season, though no exact date has been provided.
Marvel’s Wolverine is scheduled to launch on September 15, 2026, as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. Developed by the team behind the Marvel’s Spider-Man series, the game is positioned as a standalone, narrative-driven experience with a more mature tone. Actor Liam McIntyre is set to portray Logan, and the title is expected to take advantage of the PS5 and PS5 Pro hardware.
While pre-orders are not yet open, the game is currently available to wishlist on the PlayStation Store. Insomniac’s latest comments indicate that further details are imminent, with a larger gameplay showing likely before pre-orders go live.
