Iron Galaxy Studios has publicly denied claims that it is developing a Fallout New Vegas remaster, addressing speculation that circulated following a recent social media post.
The studio responded directly on X after fans linked a “Please Stand By” slide shown during a company meeting to the long-rumored remaster. “Nope! There is nothing to see here. Sorry to disturb the volcanoes, but that was just a BTS look at our company meeting. We use that slide every month and has nothing to do with anything Fallout being worked on,” the studio wrote.
Iron Galaxy added, “As you can imagine, we love Fallout, too. Now pardon us as we retreat back into our vault.” The statement effectively dismisses the theory that the studio is involved in bringing Fallout New Vegas back in remastered form.
Originally released in 2010 and developed by Obsidian Entertainment, Fallout New Vegas is widely regarded as one of the most influential entries in the franchise. Set in the Mojave Wasteland, the title emphasized player choice through its reputation system and faction-driven narrative, allowing players to align with or oppose groups such as the New California Republic, Caesar’s Legion, and Mr. House.
Rumors of a remaster have intensified in recent months, particularly following the success of Bethesda’s Oblivion remaster and renewed interest in the Fallout brand. Despite ongoing insider chatter suggesting a project may be in development, Bethesda has not officially announced a New Vegas remaster.
For now, Iron Galaxy’s statement makes clear that it is not the studio behind any such effort.
