SEGA and CyberConnect2 have announced that Kaigaku, the Upper Rank Moon demon featured in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle movie, is now available as downloadable content for Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2. The new character joins the roster as part of a paid update that expands the game’s Versus Mode and introduces new customization options for players.
Kaigaku can be purchased individually for $4.99 or as part of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Character Pass, priced at $29.99. The Character Pass provides access to multiple upcoming additions, including Zenitsu Agatsuma (Infinity Castle), who is set to release in December 2025.
The new DLC allows players to take control of Kaigaku in Versus Mode, accompanied by his own set of profile photos, quotes, mastery rewards, and decorations. To celebrate the launch, version 1.20 of the game has also been released as a free update, introducing a new battle stage—Infinity Castle—available for all players.
In addition to the new character content, a separate Anime Song Pack is now available for $14.99. The pack allows players to customize battle music in Versus Mode with tracks from the Demon Slayer anime series, including TV versions of opening and ending themes. This feature offers fans an opportunity to relive iconic moments from the series while engaging in combat.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 continues to build upon its predecessor’s success by expanding its roster and introducing new content inspired by recent arcs of the anime and manga. The addition of Kaigaku marks the game’s first major post-launch DLC since its release, setting the stage for a series of upcoming updates tied to the Infinity Castle storyline.
Players who own the Character Pass will automatically gain access to all forthcoming DLC fighters as they are released. More details on future character additions are expected in the coming months.
