Kena: Bridge of Spirits is available starting today for PS4, PS5, and PC. Here’s a comparison between the Fidelity and Performance mode on PS5.
The game comes with two different modes. It runs with the Performance mode by default. This claims to run at upscaled 4K resolution with 60 FPS. The other mode is Fidelity mode that runs at native 4K but the frame rate is dropped to 30 FPS. The difference between the two visually is not that huge so the Performance mode is the recommended one to use here.
As you can see in the video comparison, the difference matters more in the performance rather than the visuals. You are getting the same visuals in both modes and unless you have a large screen (60+) where the native 4K resolution is more obvious as you observe pixels closer, you won’t be able to find the difference between both modes.
What Is The Best Graphics Mode In Kena: Bridge of Spirits
The performance advantage appears to apply in gameplay where the smoothness can be seen in the animation and movements of the main character. The game is still playable in the Fidelity mode with the 30 FPS lock, but if you are sensitive to performance, it is not recommended.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits feels like a game that has a slight input delay, so the performance mode is the preferred method to play the game. It is available for the PS5 but we are not sure if PS4 owners will get the game mode.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is available now for the PS4, PS5, and PC through the Epic Games Store. You can watch the story trailer to learn more about the game, including its Photo Mode.
