Killing Floor 3 Hotfix 4 Brings Stability, Performance, and Matchmaking Fixes

Tripwire Interactive has released Hotfix 4 for Killing Floor 3, focusing on stability, performance, and matchmaking improvements. The update addresses backend disconnects, reduces performance spikes during boss battles, and lowers wait times when closing skill videos.

Matchmaking has also been refined to better support large inventories of crafted mods and saved loadouts, now accommodating up to 2000 mods and 90 loadouts. In addition, issues with daily challenges and rewards have been resolved. A scheduled maintenance window accompanied the patch on September 30.

  • Optimized performance spikes during boss battles when taking damage.
  • Reduced wait time when closing skill videos.

Matchmaking Improvements

  • Improved reliability for accounts with large inventories.
  • Now supports up to 2000 crafted mods and 90 saved loadouts.
  • Players under this limit experiencing issues are encouraged to recycle unused mods and reduce loadouts.
  • Continued work planned to expand stability for larger inventories in future updates.

Gameplay & UI

  • Fixed issues with the Complete All Daily Challenges assignment and its rewards.

Killing Floor 3 is a 2025 first-person shooter developed and published by Tripwire Interactive. It launched on July 24, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S as the successor to Killing Floor 2.
