Kirby Air Riders Demo Update 1.0.1 Improves Online Stability and Fixes City Trial Matchmaking

by Ali Haider

Demo version 1.0.1 for Kirby Air Riders focuses on enhancing the reliability of online features, addressing several issues that affected connection stability and matchmaking. The update resolves problems in City Trial where matches could fail to connect, take too long to initiate, or stop progressing due to communication errors. Although the improvements aim to provide a smoother online experience, players may still encounter occasional matchmaking stalls.

The developers recommend exiting the lobby or restarting the software if matchmaking exceeds ninety seconds. The patch also includes several miscellaneous gameplay fixes to support overall stability ahead of the game’s full release on Nintendo Switch 2 later this month.

Full Patch Notes

  • Improved communication stability during online play
  • Fixed an issue where City Trial matching could fail to connect after long wait times
  • Fixed an issue where City Trial matches might not begin properly
  • Fixed an issue where player progression could halt due to communication errors, such as during paddock events
  • Implemented additional miscellaneous gameplay fixes
