Nintendo has revealed new information on Kirby Air Riders, confirming its price, file size, and even teasing fans with fresh music tracks ahead of its launch. The game is scheduled to release on November 20, 2025, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.
The title will be priced at 69.99 USD, aligning with other major releases on the platform. According to the official listing, players will need approximately 25GB of storage space to install the game. This puts it among the larger Kirby titles, reflecting its wide range of features and modes.
As part of the promotional build-up, Nintendo added seven Kirby Air Riders tracks to its Nintendo Music service. These include the main theme and several course tracks that highlight the variety of settings players will encounter. Among the showcased pieces are Starlit Journey, Floria Fields, Waveflow Waters, Steamgust Forge, Mount Amberfalls, and a cosmic-themed bonus track.
Gameplay in Kirby Air Riders blends fast-paced racing with arena combat. Players can pick characters such as Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Magolor, each paired with unique machines like the Warp Star, Wheelie Bike, and Chariot. Every machine handles differently, while riders can also make use of Copy Abilities to gain the upper hand.
One of the main attractions is the City Trial mode, set in the city of Skyah. This chaotic mode supports up to sixteen players online or eight players via local wireless. Participants race to collect machines and power-ups while surviving unpredictable events, before heading into a final stadium contest that could range from drag races to skydiving challenges. For those who prefer straightforward racing, the Air Ride mode offers traditional track-based competition both locally and online.
The game will support up to sixteen players online and eight players locally, while also offering single-system multiplayer for up to four participants. Supported play modes include TV, tabletop, and handheld. Additional features include surround sound (linear PCM) and HDR output on compatible televisions.
With its mix of racing, combat, and multiplayer chaos, Kirby Air Riders is shaping up as one of the more ambitious spin-offs in the Kirby franchise. Fans will not have to wait long, as the title is set to arrive on November 20, 2025.
