Nintendo has announced that new alarms inspired by Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be introduced to the motion-responsive alarm clock known as the Nintendo Sound Clock Alarmo. The update will bring a total of seven alarm types, some of which are based on the Star-Crossed World downloadable content. Distribution details, including the exact release timing, will be shared at a later stage.

According to Nintendo, users will need both an internet connection and a free Nintendo Account in order to access the additional alarms. The selection will include music from Starry World, offering fans of the series a more immersive way to start their day. While the alarms are not yet available, the confirmation signals Nintendo’s continued push to tie its popular franchises into lifestyle products beyond the traditional gaming sphere.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land, originally launched in 2022 for the Nintendo Switch, marked a significant turning point for the franchise by introducing full 3D gameplay for the first time in its mainline series. Developed by HAL Laboratory, the game allows players to guide Kirby through an expansive adventure to rescue Waddle Dees captured by the Beast Pack. With its diverse array of copy abilities, colorful design, and accessible gameplay, it quickly became a fan favorite. By March 2024, the game had sold over 7.5 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling entry in the Kirby series and one of the most successful titles on the Switch platform.

An enhanced version of Kirby and the Forgotten Land is set to be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28, 2025. This upgraded edition, titled Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World, will feature improved performance and a new story campaign. The addition of themed Alarmo alarms will further connect this release to long-time fans.
