Koei Tecmo has revealed its official lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2025, highlighting three major upcoming releases. Fans attending the event will have the opportunity to try Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment for the very first time, suggesting that a release date announcement could be on the horizon. Alongside Nintendo’s anticipated collaboration, the publisher will also showcase Nioh 3 and Ninja Gaiden 4.

The upcoming showcase will take place at Makuhari Messe from September 25 to 28, with the first two days reserved for business attendees and the weekend opening to the public. For many, the highlight will be Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, a Switch 2 exclusive developed by Koei Tecmo’s AAA Games Studio in collaboration with Nintendo. The hack-and-slash title continues the formula of blending The Legend of Zelda universe with the large-scale battles of the Dynasty Warriors series. Set during the events of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the game is currently slated for release in late 2025 or early 2026.

Also featured at TGS will be Nioh 3, the latest entry in Team Ninja’s samurai action RPG series. Scheduled for early 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Steam, the game will expand the franchise with an open-field design that encourages deeper exploration. Players will once again face nightmarish yokai while unraveling the mystery of the Crucible, a new threat lurking in a dark and twisted samurai world.

Meanwhile, Ninja Gaiden 4 is set to make waves as one of the most high-profile titles in the lineup. Co-developed by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames and published by Xbox Game Studios, the game will arrive worldwide on October 21, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. The story introduces Yakumo as a new central protagonist while longtime hero Ryu Hayabusa continues to play a major role. Players can expect intense action that bridges classic Ninja Gaiden gameplay with new mechanics from PlatinumGames’ influence.
