Kojima Productions Marks 10th Anniversary with “Beyond The Strand” Event on September 23

Kojima Productions has announced plans to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a special event titled Beyond The Strand. Scheduled for September 23, 2025, the gathering will be hosted by Hideo Kojima at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo. The event will not only commemorate the studio’s decade-long journey but also include special guest appearances and provide “a glimpse into future projects.”

Tickets for the celebration go on sale beginning September 2 at 10 a.m. JST through Lawson Ticket’s official site. They will be distributed via lottery-based reservation, with no same-day sales available at the venue. Priced at 7,700 yen, tickets grant access to SCREEN7 at TOHO Cinemas, where doors will open at noon, followed by the program running from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. JST. While details about a livestream are not yet available, Kojima Productions confirmed that information will be shared at a later date.

The announcement follows the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which launched on June 26, 2025, for PlayStation 5. Written, directed, and produced by Hideo Kojima, the sequel expands on the world of the original 2019 title while introducing new cast members alongside returning characters. With a narrative partially reworked to reflect themes shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic, the game received strong critical acclaim and further cemented Kojima Productions’ reputation for blending unconventional storytelling with ambitious gameplay.

Founded after Hideo Kojima’s departure from Konami, Kojima Productions has spent the past decade establishing itself as a studio known for bold, experimental projects. Its catalog includes Death Stranding, Death Stranding: Director’s Cut, and most recently Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Additional projects, such as the mysterious title OD and the film-linked project Physint, have also been teased, though details remain limited.

The Beyond The Strand event is expected to highlight both the legacy of Kojima Productions and its upcoming direction. Fans are eagerly awaiting whether Kojima will use the occasion to shed light on these future projects or even unveil something entirely new.
