Konami Details Known Issues in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Patch in Development

by Ali Haider

Konami has published a list of known issues currently affecting Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, confirming that a patch is already in development to address the problems. The company acknowledged multiple player reports and reassured fans that fixes are actively being worked on. Updates will be rolled out in stages once the patch is complete.

Among the most significant problems are several crash-related bugs. According to Konami, performing an additional survival knife attack after a series of consecutive strikes to secure food may trigger a crash, as can removing the Crocodile Cap from the Survival Viewer while it is equipped. Crashes may also occur if players collect food near a hungry crocodile or open the Radio Window under certain conditions.

Other issues involve movement and animations. Transitioning from a roll into a crawl can cause the character model to float in mid-air, while certain camera switches to Intrusion View may restrict player movement unexpectedly. Konami stated that these issues are under investigation but require more time to fully resolve. In a closing note, the publisher apologized for the inconvenience and thanked players for their patience and continued support.

Originally released in 2004, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is widely regarded as one of the most important entries in the series. The remake, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, aims to deliver a faithful recreation of the classic while modernizing its visuals and controls. Developed internally by Konami Digital Entertainment with support from Virtuos, the title marks the first major installment in the franchise since 2018’s Metal Gear Survive.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is scheduled for release on August 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Fans can expect more updates from Konami as the patch work progresses.
