Konami is planning to further expand the Silent Hill series beyond the remake of the first entry and Silent Hill: Townfall.
In its interim report (via Genki_JPN on Twitter/X) for fiscal year 2026, covering the period from April 1 to September 30, 2025, Konami Group Corporation highlighted one of its strongest first-half performances on record, driven largely by its Digital Entertainment Business. While eFootball continued its global momentum with more than 900 million downloads, the report also reaffirmed Silent Hill f as a major success. Konami noted that the game was “overwhelmingly” well received and surpassed one million sales within its first two days on the market.
Furthermore, Konami is heavily investing in further expansions of the Silent Hill intellectual property. The report stated, “We are also working on a remake of the first game in the SILENT HILL series as well as a new title, SILENT HILL: Townfall, with plans to develop this series further going forward. Konami will continue working to deliver titles in the Silent Hill series that will be loved by our fans around the world.” The mention of plans to further expand upon the series indicates that Konami’s ambitions extend well beyond the Silent Hill 1 remake and Silent Hill: Townfall.
On the whole, the report indicated that Konami Group Corporation is operating with significant momentum. Revenue rose 22.1% year-on-year to 224,839 million Yen, while operating profit increased nearly 29%. The company highlighted strong results in its Amusement, Gaming and Systems, and Sports divisions. Key initiatives, such as launching Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, expanding management of municipal sports facilities, and opening the advanced “Konami Creative Front Tokyo Bay” R&D center, point towards a company aiming for long-term growth.
Last month, Konami shared an update to its franchise performance as of late September, 2025, showing a resurgence in its classic properties led by the Metal Gear and Silent Hill series. The publisher’s console and PC game sales data revealed that Metal Gear surpassed 65.1 million lifetime sales, up 1.8 million units since the end of June, 2025, while Silent Hill climbed to 13 million units, a substantial 1.3 million-unit increase over the same period.
