A new leak suggests that Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece may be heading to the Nintendo Switch 2 as a native release, potentially replacing the cloud-based version currently available on Nintendo hardware. The claim comes from content creator Attack The Backlog, who stated that multiple sources have independently corroborated the existence of a native port currently awaiting an official announcement from Square Enix.
In a public statement shared on social media, Attack The Backlog said, “I can now say @NWeedle and i spoke about this behind the scenes and I was able to corroborate his statement of Kingdom Hearts Intergrum coming to switch 2, with my own source who told me it is coming to Switch 2 indeed.” Nash Weedle added, “KINGDOM HEARTS INTEGRUM MASTERPIECE is coming natively to Switch 2. It’s ready, Square Enix just needs to announce the release.” According to the same post, the information has been “verified by multiple sources,” though no timeline or pricing details were mentioned.
Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece is a comprehensive digital collection developed and published by Square Enix that compiles the full Dark Seeker Saga storyline. The package includes Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III, along with the Re Mind DLC. Together, these releases represent the core narrative arc of the long-running action RPG franchise.
The collection first launched on Nintendo Switch on February 10, 2022, but was made available exclusively through cloud streaming technology. This approach allowed the games to run on Switch hardware without native execution, though it also introduced issues related to connection stability and offline access. As a result, the cloud version received mixed reactions from players who were hoping for a traditional local experience.
Square Enix released Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece natively on PC through Steam on June 13, 2024. If the leak is accurate, a native version for the Switch 2 would represent a significant shift in Square Enix’s approach to the franchise on Nintendo platforms. However, this information is still unofficial, and Square Enix has not publicly commented on the report.
