A new leak has potentially revealed one more game that is set to be added the PS Plus Premium lineup of titles in July, 2025.
The Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating board (via Gematsu) has rated Legacy of Kain: Defiance for the PS5 and PS4, suggesting that the 2003 action-adventure game will soon be making its way to the PS Plus Premium Classics catalog in July, 2025.
It’s worth pointing out that two Classics that are set to join the PS Plus Premium catalog in July, 2025, were already confirmed by Sony Interactive Entertainment during the recent State of Play presentation. These games are Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4. PS Plus Premium members who are fans of the vehicular combat game will be glad to know they will be able to download and play both titles at no additional cost on July 15, 2025.
The leak suggests that Legacy of Kain: Defiance will be joining both Twisted Metal to complete the PS Plus Premium lineup for the month. It’s possible that Sony Interactive Entertainment will also add a PSVR2 title, as it has done so during prior months.
For now PS Plus Premium subscribers can look forward to a major content drop tomorrow on June 17, 2025. The latest additions includes FBC: Firebreak, Battlefield 2042, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2, theHunter: Call of the Wild, We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie, Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes, Train Sim World 5, Endless Dungeon, and Deus Ex: The Conspiracy. For the uninitiated, Legacy of Kain: Defiance was developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Eidos Interactive. It was originally released on November 11, 2003, for PlayStation 2 and Xbox, followed by a PC release on December 17, 2003. It is the fifth and concluding chapter of the Legacy of Kain saga. The story follows the intertwined paths of Kain, a powerful Vampire lord, and Raziel, his former lieutenant who was transformed into a wraith after being cast down and resurrected by the Elder God during the events of Soul Reaver.
