Dragami Games has officially confirmed that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will launch on March 26, 2026. The release is scheduled for both physical and digital formats, marking the game’s arrival on Nintendo’s newer hardware after previously launching on the original Switch. Pre-orders for the physical edition are available starting today, while an upgrade path is also planned for players who already own the Nintendo Switch version.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition introduces several technical improvements that were not achievable on the original Switch hardware. According to the announcement, the new version features notable graphical enhancements alongside a significantly improved frame rate. These changes are intended to deliver smoother and more responsive gameplay, particularly during combat-heavy sequences, where performance consistency is critical to the overall experience.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP originally launched on September 12, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions following later on December 2, 2024. Developed by Dragami Games, the remaster reintroduced Juliet Starling’s zombie-hunting adventure with updated visuals and modernized performance targets. Since its release, the game has established a dedicated audience, surpassing 400,000 units sold worldwide as of January 9, 2026.
The remaster is known for offering multiple presentation options, including a RePOP Mode that replaces traditional gore effects with stylized pop-art visuals. On higher-end platforms, the title supports enhanced resolution and performance, while post-launch updates have continued to expand customization options, including free costume additions. These updates have helped maintain player interest well beyond the initial release window.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version was originally expected to arrive in late 2025, but its release was delayed to allow for further optimization. The finalized March 26 date confirms that the edition will launch with features tailored specifically to the newer hardware. In addition to performance upgrades, the Switch 2 Edition includes a hardware-exclusive Gun Shooting Mode, adding a distinct gameplay option not present in earlier versions.
