A potential release window for Lords of the Fallen 2 may have surfaced ahead of an official announcement, following a brief listing tied to one of the game’s developers.
Dan Regan, lead systems designer at CI Games, had reportedly listed August 2026 as the release date for the upcoming sequel. The date was later removed, which has raised questions about whether it was posted in error or revealed prematurely. Despite its removal, users on the Lords of the Fallen subreddit captured a screenshot of the listing before it was taken down.
At this stage, there is no official confirmation regarding a specific launch month. The game is currently scheduled for a 2026 release across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Lords of the Fallen 2 serves as a standalone sequel to the 2023 reboot and was first revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025. Developed by Hexworks using Unreal Engine 5, the title is set roughly a century after the previous installment and introduces two overlapping worlds that players can explore. The combat direction is also said to lean toward a more aggressive and visceral Soulslike experience.
The PC version will launch as a lifetime exclusive on the Epic Games Store, following a publishing agreement between CI Games and Epic. Meanwhile, the franchise continues to show commercial traction, with the 2023 release having surpassed 2.5 million units sold worldwide and reaching a break-even point in early 2026.
