According to an official update shared by the developer on social media, the game will support Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), 120Hz displays, and higher dynamic resolution in both Quality and Performance modes. These improvements aim to deliver a smoother and more visually impressive experience for players opting for the latest PlayStation hardware.
This announcement comes as the game nears its August 8 release date across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Mafia: The Old Country serves as a prequel to the original Mafia title, continuing the series’ tradition of cinematic storytelling and immersive open-world design while embracing modern technology for improved visuals and performance.
Earlier, the developers also detailed the PC specifications for the game, confirming extensive support for advanced features. These include uncapped frame rates, HDR, ultrawide resolution support, remappable controls, and modern upscaling solutions such as AMD FSR, NVIDIA DLSS, and Intel XeSS. Players can also expect improved accessibility options and full V-Sync implementation.

Across all tiers, the game needs 55 GB of SSD storage, runs on Windows 10/11, and supports DirectX 12.
