Mafia: The Old Country PC System Requirements and Features Revealed Ahead of Launch

With its August 8 release drawing near, Mafia: The Old Country has had its full list of PC requirements and features officially revealed by publisher 2K and developer Hangar 13. The upcoming prequel to the original Mafia promises a wide range of visual and technical enhancements designed to meet the expectations of modern hardware while retaining the cinematic flair the series is known for.

The game will support uncapped framerates, HDR, ultrawide monitor resolutions, and remappable keyboard inputs. It also includes modern upscaling technologies such as AMD FSR, NVIDIA DLSS, and Intel XeSS, all available on supported hardware. Additionally, players will benefit from improved accessibility options and full V-Sync functionality.

For players curious about system requirements, the developers have outlined three performance targets: Minimum, Recommended, and Epic. These tiers cover a broad range of configurations, allowing users with mid-range to high-end systems to experience the game at different quality levels. At the minimum tier, a Ryzen 7 2700X or Core i7-9700K paired with an RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 5700 XT will target 1080p resolution at Medium settings. The recommended tier raises the bar to an RTX 3080 Ti or Radeon RX 6950 XT, aiming for 1440p gameplay at High settings.

Those aiming for the highest quality experience will need modern GPUs like the RTX 4070 Ti or Radeon RX 9070. According to the specifications, Epic preset targets a 2880×1620 resolution, which amounts to 75 percent of native 4K. Across all tiers, the game requires at least 55 GB of SSD storage and runs on Windows 10 or 11 with DirectX 12.
