Manticore Games Announces Out of Time, a Chaotic Multiplayer Roguelike Where Timelines Collide

by Greg Martin

Manticore Games has officially announced Out of Time, a multiplayer action roguelike set in a world fractured by time itself. Launching exclusively for PC via the Epic Games Store on September 25, 2025, the title promises a unique blend of chaotic combat, deep customization, and narrative-rich worldbuilding.

Set in a reality disjointed by a catastrophic event known as The Shattering, Out of Time presents players with a fractured timeline where dinosaurs, medieval warriors, futuristic machines, and post-apocalyptic survivors coexist. This merging of eras results in a universe called Infinitopia—the final stronghold of civilization. Players must embark on solo or cooperative missions across corrupted zones in an effort to restore what remains of the timeline.

The game allows players to create highly individualized builds using over 190 million gear combinations sourced from across history and speculative futures. There are no preset classes—instead, players freely combine weapons, armor, and abilities to suit their preferred style, whether it be tanking in medieval plate armor while wielding futuristic firearms, or deploying healing skills alongside advanced weaponry.

Jordan Maynard, Chief Creative Officer at Manticore Games, describes Out of Time as “an explosive cocktail of epic combat, infinite replayability, and deep social features.” He cites the studio’s intent to blend the best elements of roguelikes, real-time multiplayer, and MMO-style raids into one dynamic experience.

The game’s evolving universe has been built using Manticore’s proprietary Core UGC platform alongside Unreal Engine. CEO Frederic Descamps noted that the team has already begun development on additional content including PvP modes, new eras, and support for other platforms. According to Descamps, the project reflects Manticore’s broader mission to deliver immersive and scalable multiplayer experiences.

Out of Time will be priced at $24.99 and is currently available for pre-purchase on the Epic Games Store. Early buyers will receive the Temporal Disaster Pack, which includes three mounts inspired by alternate timelines, three hero emotes, and four character avatars.
