by Ali Haider

Update 1.4.0 for Mario Kart World delivers a significant set of new features, quality of life improvements, and broad stability fixes across races, online modes, and course geometry. Players can now tailor their experience through a new Custom Items system, enjoy on screen music track titles, and manage sound levels with a dedicated music volume option. Online functionality has been upgraded so rooms can transition between Race, Knockout Tour, and Battle modes with up to four players participating.

The update also introduces improvements across Time Trials, adds new Pause Menu options in single player, and adjusts several course layouts. In addition, a long list of course specific issues involving Bullet Bill behavior, collision handling, vehicle physics, and object interactions has been corrected to enhance gameplay consistency.
