The fighting game, developed with Arc System Works and PlayStation Studios XDEV, is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 5 and PC in 2026. At the show, two new characters, Spider-Man and Ghost Rider, will be shown to the public for the first time. Visitors will also be able to try the game on newly introduced stages.

According to Sony, the game is built around 4v4 team battles and features Marvel superheroes and villains. It uses accessible controls and a distinctive visual style. On September 28, developers from Arc System Works and PlayStation Studios will host a stage session at the PlayStation booth, where they will share more about the game’s development and character creation.

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is one of many important titles that will be shown at the PlayStation booth at Tokyo Game Show 2025. Other playable games include Ghost of Yōtei, Nioh 3, Resident Evil Requiem, and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Attendees who try the game’s demo at the event will receive special merchandise, like pin badges with characters from the game.

The announcement highlights Sony’s strategy to feature major titles with broad appeal at TGS, while also showing new partnerships between established developers and its own studios.
