Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC Update 1.212 Resolves Critical Crash Fixes, AMD Stability Enhancements & UI

by Ali Haider

Patch 1.212 for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC is now live, bringing a host of vital improvements and fixes based on player feedback and extensive internal testing. The update focuses on stabilizing the game by addressing several crash issues, enhancing overall performance, and refining various user interface elements. In collaboration with AMD, the development team discovered that driver crashes on AMD Radeon GPUs were linked to the initialization of the Anti-Lag 2 SDK. As a temporary measure until AMD releases a driver update, Anti-Lag 2 has been removed to ensure a more stable gaming experience.

Alongside these stability measures, the patch resolves crashes in specific missions—such as in the final Mysterio mission while wearing the Bodega Cat Suit and during menu closures when audio fragments are playing. Other enhancements include improved mouse sensitivity adjustability, better screen space reflections, and corrections to visual bugs like darkened or flickering character eyes. Additional fixes ensure better compatibility with Nintendo Switch Pro controllers via Steam Input, address issues in New Game+ prompts, and enhance NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction functionality.
