Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Pre-Load Date Revealed
The digital pre-load date for Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games’ upcoming action-adventure game, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, has been revealed.
The PlayStation Store has updated the pre-load date for digital pre-orders of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Those who have their digital pre-order in place can expect to download the game a whole week before its release on October 20, 2023.

The pre-load will come with latest update pre-installed for those who pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, though a day one update may be rolled out closer to launch on October 20, 2023. Meanwhile, those who purchased the game on disc will need to download the update.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Download Size
The download size for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is not yet known, but it is expected to be greater than the download size of the PS5 version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, which came in at around 56 GB. Additionally, it is stated on the game’s PlayStation Direct store page that it will come on 1 disc. Therefore, the download size is expected to fall within the 100 GB limit.
Details regarding the review embargo for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have not yet been revealed.
Previously, the official Insomniac Games Twitter account revealed that the studio does not plan on releasing a demo for Spider-Man 2, and that the unique suits included with the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game will not be offered to owners of other editions.
In response to a Twitter user who spoke against the practice of locking in-game outfits to one specific edition of the game, Insomniac Games stated that the situation is basically equivalent to the 9 suits offered in the first game. In order to gain access to those suits, players had to have bought the Digital Deluxe Edition. On the plus side, these suits aren’t locked behind pre-orders and will, therefore, continue to be available, and those who are on a tight budget will be able to pick it up during a sale.
