Big Blue Sky Games has officially launched its debut title, Merchants of Rosewall, on PC via Steam. This story-driven fantasy shopkeeping simulator immerses players in a world where they must build and manage their own shop, forge relationships with various townsfolk, and navigate the economic challenges of a dynamic marketplace.
Set in a post-conflict world that blends medieval aesthetics with steampunk elements, Merchants of Rosewall allows players to craft items, trade goods, and source materials while interacting with a diverse cast of gnomes, giants, orcs, elves, and other citizens. As players progress, they can strengthen their shop through strategic decisions, apply perks to enhance efficiency, and uncover the deeper mysteries of Rosewall’s economy and history.
A key feature of the game is its evolving marketplace, where holidays, weather, and shifting resource availability create dynamic challenges. Players must adapt to fluctuating supply chains and changing customer demands, requiring careful management to keep their business thriving.
“Our goal of uniting players comes to life in Merchants of Rosewall as they engage with the game’s heartfelt narrative and imaginative world,” said Suriel Vazquez, narrative lead at Big Blue Sky Games. “Through nuanced storytelling and complex character interactions, players will experience real-world issues in a fantasy setting. We are excited to see how players embrace the game’s crafting mechanics, economic strategy, and day-to-day shopkeeping challenges.”
Big Blue Sky Games, known for its focus on inclusivity and collaborative storytelling, has also announced a partnership with indie developer Kitten Cup Studio for the upcoming title Capy Castaway, with more details expected soon.
Merchants of Rosewall is now available for $24.99 on PC via Steam.
