Konami has released updated performance guidelines for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, providing players with optimized settings for both minimum and recommended PC specifications. The details, shared through the game’s official Steam forums, are meant to ensure stable performance across a range of hardware setups.
For those meeting the minimum requirements, the game is built to run on Windows 10 or 11 with an Intel i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and an RTX 2060 Super graphics card. Under these conditions, players can expect the title to run at 30 frames per second in a 1920×1080 resolution. Konami advises using medium settings across shadows, textures, global illumination, bloom, and motion blur, while enabling DLSS on performance mode to maintain stability.
Meanwhile, recommended specifications call for an Intel i7-8700K or equivalent, paired with an RTX 3080 and 16 GB of RAM. On this setup, the game is designed to achieve 60 frames per second at 2560×1440 resolution, with high settings enabled across all graphical features. Upscaling quality is best set to balanced when using DLSS, although Konami notes that resolution options may vary depending on individual hardware configurations. The publisher also acknowledged that frame rates may fluctuate during cutscenes or under heavy effects load, though performance is generally stable at the listed caps.
Released on August 28, 2025, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater marks Konami’s first major AAA console release in years and serves as a full remake of the 2004 classic Metal Gear Solid 3. Set in 1964 during the height of Cold War tensions, the story follows Naked Snake on a mission to rescue a Soviet scientist and dismantle the Shagohod nuclear weapon project, while also facing his mentor-turned-adversary, The Boss.
Developed internally by Konami Digital Entertainment with support from Virtuos, the project was supervised by longtime Metal Gear producers Noriaki Okamura and Yuji Korekado. The title launched to generally positive reviews and quickly sold over one million units in its first 24 hours, reaffirming strong fan demand for the franchise’s return.
With its optimized settings now publicly shared, PC players can fine-tune their experience to match their hardware, ensuring the remake’s stealth-action gameplay can be enjoyed as intended.
