Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s release date and new trailer have been leaked on the PlayStation Store.
Based on the leaked release date, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will launch on August 25, 2025. A new trailer debuted on the PlayStation Store, showcasing the game’s stunning visual overhaul and modernized gameplay mechanics while staying faithful to the original’s legendary story and tone.
According to the PlayStation Store description, the upcoming remake of Snake Eater aims to deliver the “ultimate survival stealth action experience” by meticulously reconstructing every aspect of the game’s world. Cutscenes are reimagined with a cinematic flair, and the jungle’s dense foliage, wildlife, and weather systems dynamically influence gameplay.
This remake promises to retain the elements that made the original a beloved classic, including its gripping Cold War-era espionage narrative, iconic voice acting, and haunting soundtrack. Additionally, it will introduce several modern upgrades to enhance the gaming experience. These improvements include modernized graphics featuring photorealistic jungle environments and immersive 3D audio that increases tension during stealth sequences.
The remake also implements a battle damage system that visually reflects Snake’s physical state, showing wear and tear such as torn uniforms, bruises, and bullet wounds that persist throughout the game. Players will have the option to choose between modern, intuitive controls or a classic control scheme reminiscent of the PS2 era. Furthermore, the beloved Snake vs. Monkey mini-game will return, and Konami has teased the introduction of new modes that will be revealed later.
A Digital Deluxe Edition will include bonus content, though specifics remain under wraps. The game launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with some modes requiring internet connectivity.
Konami hasn’t made an official announcement yet, so this is likely an early leak from the PlayStation Store. The new trailer is available to view on the PlayStation Store, but expect to see it available on other platforms soon.
