The latest update for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Version 1.2.2, has been rolled out, primarily targeting the game’s competitive online mode, Fox Hunt. This patch applies a series of precise adjustments to weaponry, map conditions, and core systems within the multiplayer experience to foster more balanced and consistent engagements.
While the main campaign experience only receives minor bug fixes and general adjustments aimed at refining stability and gameplay consistency—without altering the game’s original celebrated design—Fox Hunt sees a broader set of strategic changes. Noteworthy alterations include a permanent foggy condition for the Sacred Garden map, which will significantly impact visibility and stealth strategy, and a revision of problematic spawn points in the same area. Crucially, the patch includes multiple damage adjustments across various weapons to create fairer and more reliable combat interactions. Headshots and the KNIFE melee weapon now deal increased damage, alongside specific damage boosts to the Sz 336 SMG and S1000 Shotgun when targeting arms and legs. These changes collectively aim to sharpen the competitive edge of the Fox Hunt mode.
