SEGA and ATLUS have released the Metaphor ReFantazio Guidebook Edition across Xbox Series X|S, Windows, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam. The new edition expands the original release with additional digital content, while owners of the previously released ATLUS 35th Digital Anniversary Edition will receive the digital strategy guide at no extra cost.
Metaphor ReFantazio has already proven to be a major success for ATLUS. The role-playing game sold 1 million units on its first day, making it the fastest-selling title in the studio’s history. Since launch, it has also received widespread critical acclaim, earning multiple high-profile awards, including Best Role Playing Game, Best Narrative, and Best Art Direction at The Game Awards 2024.
The Guidebook Edition includes the full digital version of the base game alongside a newly added English essential digital strategy guide. This guide consists of a 55-page curated excerpt adapted by Future Press from its complete 592-page official printed guide, offering players structured assistance and insight into the game’s systems and progression. The edition also comes with a digital artbook and an immersive digital soundtrack, giving players a closer look at the game’s visual design and music.
In addition to these materials, the Guidebook Edition includes two downloadable costume sets. The Shujin Academy School Uniform Set and the Jouin High School Uniform Set both feature unique battle background music and jingles, allowing players to further personalize their experience during combat.
