Microsoft has brought back the $1 promotion for its Xbox Game Pass subscription service ahead of the upcoming holiday season.
The $1 promotion for the first month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has returned (via eXtas1stv on Twitter/X) ahead of the holiday season. Those who are looking to take advantage of the offer ought to act fast, as it may only be available for a limited period.
The aforementioned introductory Xbox Game Pass trial was removed in October, 2024, prior to the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. It granted new users a month to try out the catalog of titles available on Microsoft’s premium game subscription service.
This month, Microsoft added Monster Train 2 to Xbox Game Pass on December 3 across cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Premium tier members. The strategy title follows an alliance of angels and demons resisting a group of Titans who have seized control of Heaven. Spray Paint Simulator, which also arrived on December 3, offers a design-focused experience built around a painting business with solo and cooperative play options.
Additionally, 33 Immortals was added in Game Preview form on December 4. The 33 player cooperative action roguelike allows participants to engage in large-scale encounters supported by instant matchmaking. That same day, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle launched on cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, the first-person adventure focuses on an investigation tied to an ancient power. Routine, a first-person science fiction horror game set on a deserted lunar base, also entered the library on December 4 as a day one addition.
A Game About Digging a Hole arrived on December 9 across cloud, handheld, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, while Death Howl entered on the same date for handheld and PC players. Death Howl combines elements of a soulslike and a deck building game, following a mother confronting spirits within a supernatural world. Dome Keeper, a mining focused action roguelike, was also made available on December 9. Meanwhile, Mortal Kombat 1 joined Game Pass on December 10. The fighting game reintroduces the series under a revised narrative framework led by Liu Kang and includes updated mechanics and modes. Bratz Rhythm and Style arrived on December 11 across all major platforms supported by Game Pass.
