Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection are heading to the PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2, based on a new rumor.
Known insider and content creator Nate the Hate shared a new video on his YouTube channel in which he shared his informed predictions regrading Microsoft’s plans for Xbox in the year 2025. He suspects that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remaster will be a muliplatform release, as he has no reason to believe otherwise.
The content creator further mentioned that, based on what he’s heard from his sources, two prominent Microsoft and Xbox first-party games that will go multiplatform in 2025 are Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, both of which will be released for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
Additionally, Nate said that Microsoft will be a big supporter of the Nintendo Switch 2. According to him, the company will be porting and patching its existing Switch lineup for Nintendo’s next console. As such, games like Grounded, Pentiment, and the Ori series will eventually make their way to Switch 2 with 4K support. He also expects Sea of Thieves, and possibly even Hi-Fi Rush, to make its way over to the upcoming Nintendo hardware.
The insider went as far as saying that if a Gears of War collection exists and ends up releasing in 2025, it would likely be a day one release on PS5 alongside Xbox Series X|S and PC. According to him, Microsoft has fully embraced that any of its titles seeing the light of day this year will at some point find its way to PS5 and/or Nintendo Switch 2. He added that it’s only going to be a matter of “when”, as it may, for instance, happen 6 or 12 months later.
As for Starfield, Nate had previously speculated that a potential Complete Edition could arrive on PS5 during the late 2025 period.
