Mina the Hollower Delayed Beyond October 31 for Final Polish and Balancing

Yacht Club Games has announced that Mina the Hollower, its upcoming action-adventure title, will not meet its previously scheduled October 31, 2025, release date. The studio confirmed that the game has been delayed to allow additional time for final polish and balancing, emphasizing its commitment to quality and player satisfaction.

In an official post titled Delay Extravaganza II: The Tail Continues, the development team explained that while Mina the Hollower is nearing completion, a short extension is necessary to ensure it meets the studio’s standards. “This isn’t a major delay, it’s just a stretch of time to apply some final polish and balancing to make the game truly shine,” the statement read. The developers added that they are currently able to play the game from start to finish but still need to refine its design, art, sound, and overall gameplay balance before launch.

Yacht Club Games also noted that they will refrain from setting a new release date until the title has been officially submitted to platform holders for certification. “Our goal is to make sure our development team has the time and resources to deliver an incredible adventure and we will be giving you just that,” the team stated, apologizing for the delay while reaffirming their dedication to releasing a polished final product.

Mina the Hollower has drawn attention for its retro-inspired aesthetic and gameplay that blends elements of classic titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Castlevania. Set in a gothic world filled with secrets, the game follows the titular character Mina, a whip-wielding inventor who embarks on a perilous journey to restore power to a cursed island.

Originally slated to launch on multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, the delay now pushes its release into an unspecified window. Yacht Club Games assured fans that the title is nearly finished, and the remaining work primarily involves final testing, localization, and minor adjustments across all platforms.

While the delay may disappoint those eager to experience the studio’s next major project, the developers’ transparency and focus on polish suggest that Mina the Hollower is in its final stages of development. Fans will have to remain patient a little longer as Yacht Club Games prepares to deliver what it promises will be another hallmark in its lineup of retro-inspired adventures.
