Minecraft Dungeons II Announced for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC

Minecraft Dungeons II has been officially announced, with Mojang Studios and Double Eleven confirming a new entry in the action RPG spin-off series set to launch in fall 2026. The game is planned for release across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The sequel introduces a new threat emerging across the world, setting the stage for another cooperative adventure. Players will once again take on the role of heroes tasked with confronting growing evil forces. According to the official description, “A hero’s work is never done! Disorder is brewing, and the world stands before a threat unlike any other.”

The game promises an expanded experience compared to its predecessor, featuring new locations, encounters, and challenges. Mojang describes the project as an all-new action RPG adventure, with a focus on high-stakes battles and cooperative gameplay. The description further states, “Return to the world of Minecraft Dungeons in an all-new action RPG adventure, brimming with high-stakes encounters, thrilling challenges, and never-before-seen locations, as you set out to save a world in crisis.”

While specific gameplay systems have not yet been detailed, the announcement confirms continued support for multiplayer and exploration-driven combat. Players are encouraged to wishlist the title to stay updated on future announcements.

On the technical side, the PC version will require a 64-bit system, with minimum specifications including an Intel Core i3 8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 2200G, 8 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1050 or Radeon RX 560 class GPU. Recommended specifications increase to an Intel Core i5 8400 or Ryzen 5 2600, 16 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580.

Minecraft Dungeons II is being published by Xbox Game Studios and currently does not have a specific release date beyond its 2026 launch window.
