Monster Hunter Wilds PC Players Face New Crash Issue Linked to Palico Gear, Fix in Development

by Ali Haider

Capcom has confirmed a new crash issue affecting Monster Hunter Wilds players on PC. The issue occurs when forging Palico gear at the smithy, particularly when hovering over three specific armor sets in the menu. These sets—Felyne Ghost α, Meowrionette α, and Felyne Udra γ—are currently under investigation. The development team recommends avoiding these sets until a permanent solution is rolled out.

The latest known issues list also highlights several platform-specific bugs across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. These range from cosmetic text errors and quest connection problems to monster behavior inconsistencies. Capcom has assured players that these problems will be addressed in upcoming patches, with version 1.030.02.00 expected to resolve many of the reported concerns.

Full Patch Notes

Known Issues (as of October 22, 2025):

  • The text for the Cosmetic DLC Pass is not displayed correctly in the Claim Content menu at the Support Desk. (PS5 only)
  • When accepting a quest in online lobbies after toggling crossplay settings to Enable, an error message stating the quest has ended will appear, preventing session joins. (Resolved by restarting the game)
  • The game may crash when selecting some Palico armor to forge at the Smithy. (Steam only)

Issues Planned to Be Addressed in Ver.1.030.02.00:

  • Quests targeting both Lagiacrus and Uth Duna during the Plenty season at the Scarlet Forest cannot be created.
  • Some of 9★ Tempered Uth Duna’s hide is harder than intended.
  • After defeating a Nerscylla Clone generated by Omega Planetes, it may still power up as if the clone was not defeated.
  • Omega Planetes’ Rocket Punch cannot be destroyed with a gunlance’s shelling attack.
  • A Nerscylla Clone does not spawn during Omega Planetes’ Delta Attack under certain conditions, making the boss invulnerable.

Issues Addressed in Ver.1.030.01.00:

  • Skill effects such as Agitator wore off when drawing Omega Planetes’s enmity.
  • When attacking while mounted on Omega Planetes under certain conditions, Omega Planetes or Seikret did not relocate, blocking quest progression.
  • Lagiacrus unintentionally appeared at Wounded Hollow even when not defeated in prior progression.
  • Graphical issues with Omega Planetes’s Rocket Punch causing rockets to persist visually.
  • Filter Icons displayed Cactuar and other endemic life forms that had not appeared in the locale.
  • Bow coating sometimes failed to apply while charging.
