New Switch 2 Leak Mentions Metroid Remake and Wario Land Alongside Star Fox Rumors

by Salal Awan

A new leak circulating online suggests additional titles may be planned for Nintendo’s Switch 2 lineup in 2026, including a possible Super Metroid remake and a new Wario Land. The information comes from a YouTube comment that appeared shortly before a recent podcast by NateTheHate, which had already outlined several rumored projects tied to the platform.

The comment, posted by a user identified as “@malo932,” reportedly surfaced hours before the podcast went live and appears to align with multiple claims made during the discussion. Among the overlapping details are a new “classic” Star Fox title targeting a June release, a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time planned for 2026, a new Switch Sports entry, and the suggestion that a 3D Mario title has been pushed to 2027.

In addition to those points, the commenter referenced projects not mentioned in the podcast. These include a Super Metroid remake described as being “close,” as well as a new Wario Land that could arrive in 2027. The same post also mentioned a second Star Fox project, referred to as “the adventure one,” though it is not expected to release in 2026.

The timing of the comment has drawn attention, as it was reportedly posted a day before the podcast episode, with another similar comment from the same user appearing several days earlier. While it is possible that these details are coincidental or speculative, the overlap with previously reported claims has led to increased discussion around their credibility.

Earlier reports from the NateTheHate podcast indicated that Nintendo may be preparing a notable lineup for Switch 2 in 2026. This includes a new Star Fox game said to feature a classic style and online multiplayer, alongside titles such as Splatoon Raiders, Rhythm Heaven, Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave, and a new Switch Sports. A remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is also rumored for the latter half of the year, while FromSoftware’s Dusk Blood is said to be targeting a late 2026 release window.

As with most unverified information, these claims should be treated with caution. Nintendo has yet to formally announce its 2026 plans, and it remains unclear how much of the rumored lineup will materialize.
